Free Helmets

As you may know, participation in the New York Triathlon event requires that helmets with buckled chin straps must be worn at all times. For your convenience, every one of our rentals comes with a Cannondale helmet at no additional charge.

Pick-Up and Drop - off Convenience

When booking a bicycle with Unlimited Biking for any New York Triathlon events, we offer you the option of pick-up and drop-off at the start line for your convenience,. Riders pick-up their bikes at the start line in Central Park Boat House and then drop-off with our on-site team at the Finish Line (Central Park Boat House as well) at the end of the race.

Pedal Installment and Adjustments

For your convenience, we also offer free pedal installment if you would like your own installed, and adjustments on all of our rentals when you pick-up your bike from our knowledgeable team. Unlimited Biking does not provide pedals. If you have selected the installment service during your booking, please remember to bring your own pedals for the installation.

Gear up for an unforgettable experience at the 40th annual New York City Duathlon, taking place in the breathtaking scenery of Central Park on August 25. As one of the world’s most renowned city parks, Central Park will be in its full summer glory, adorned with lush trees and vibrant flowers, setting a perfect stage for this historic event.

The race will commence at 7:30 am near the iconic Central Park Boathouse, which also serves as the transition area for athletes. Participants will embark on two 2.2-mile runs in an out-and-back format along the east side of the park, with a turnaround point at 96th Street. The only notable elevation change is the initial ascent up Cat Hill, adding a slight challenge to the otherwise smooth course.

Cyclists will navigate 2 loops around the Central Park drive for a total of 10 miles, avoiding Harlem Hill due to ongoing construction. Instead, the course diverts westward through the 102nd St Traverse, offering a mix of challenging rolling hills and a total elevation gain of about 250ft per loop.

The distances for the New York City Duathlon are as follows: a 2.2-mile run, a 10-mile bike ride (2 loops), and another 2.2-mile run to finish strong.
