For families and younger riders, the Event offers a Family Ride as well as several enclosed areas within the parking lot of Bergen Community College for younger children to ride bikes, trikes or scooters.

After the rides, participants are invited to the Family Fun Area - free to registered riders - for food and festivities. ABOUT THE RIDES:

Many children with autism and their families face daily struggles. Alpine Learning Group, The EPIC School, Garden Academy, Institute for Educational Achievement and REED Academy are dedicated to easing these daily struggles and turning uphill battles into achievements. A collaborative fundraising effort by all four educational programs, Go the Distance for Autism has experienced substantial growth since its inception in 2010. In seven years, the event has raised over $4,000,000 for autism treatment and education.

ABOUT THE SCHOOLS:

Alpine Learning Group, The EPIC School, Garden Academy, Institute for Educational Achievement and REED Academy are non-profit organizations located in northern NJ that provide educational and behavioral services to children and adults with autism. Autism is a neurobiologically-based developmental disability that emerges during a child’s first three years of life.
