Pedal Installment and Adjustments:

For your convenience, we also offer pedal installment if you would like your own installed, and adjustments on all of our rentals when you pick-up your bike from our knowledgeable team. Pick-up at event location also allows riders ample space to test out the bikes and have adjustments made for the best fit possible.

Pick-Up and Drop - off Convenience:

Book a bicycle with Unlimited Biking for the TD Five Boro Bike Tour and have the option to pick it up near the Start area. At the end of the day drop it off with our on-site team at the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. No hassle of lugging a bike around or worrying about tune-ups before the big day. Want a reduced wait time when you've completed your Tour ride? Once you've passed through the mandatory security checkpoint at the ferry terminal, you'll have access to Unlimited Biking's express line to return your rental.

Free Helmets:

As you may know, participation in the TD Five Boro Bike Tour requires that everyone must wear a helmet for the duration of the race. For your convenience, every one of our rentals comes with a Cannondale helmet at no additional charge.

About

For a day, the roads are yours, the bridges are yours, and the City of New York is yours. It is the unlimited way to experience the Big Apple.

The NYC 5 Boro Bike Tour, sponsored by TD Bank, is an annual event that takes place in New York City. It is a recreational bike ride that takes place on the first Sunday in May, and it is the largest bike ride in the United States. The ride starts in Lower Manhattan, and riders travel through all five boroughs of New York City: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island. The route is about 40 miles long, and it is a traffic-free ride through the streets of New York City. Participants in the event range from serious cyclists to casual riders, and the event attracts tens of thousands of people from around the world.

The Five Boro Bike Tour is organized by the Bicycle Club of New York and is a fundraiser for the organization. Unlimited Biking is proud to be the official bike rental partner. When you rent a bike from us, proceeds help fund the Bike NY Education Program!

FAQs

What is included with the rental?

The bike itself, with a wire-frame basket (for the Ladies Adventure), a water bottle cage (one on the Men’s Quick 6, two on the Road Bikes), a small handlebar bike bag (on the Men’s and Road Bikes), and a helmet.

What if I need a helmet but did not request one?

Helmets are provided with the rental at no additional cost and we will provide helmets for all riders in abundance as they are required for the event. Please note that helmets are required for the ride.

Can I get a basket with my bike?

1. Quick 6 and Road Bikes: No, but bike bags will be available for the bikes along with a water bottle cage (water bottle not included).

2. Synapse Carbon: No, but bike bags will be available for the bikes along with a water bottle cage (water bottle not included).

3. Lady Adventure: Yes, it will be fitted on the bikes.

Can I bring my own saddle or seatpost?

We are not able to change out the saddle or seatpost, as the change can result in damage to the bicycle. The Adventure bikes have an Ultra Comfort Saddle, the Quick 6 has the Fitness Ergo Saddle, the CAAD OPTIMO Road Bike has the Stage Ergo, and the Synapse has the Selle Royal Seta S1.

What if I arrive late to pick-up my bike on the morning of the ride?

If you arrive past your designated start wave, you can ride in a later wave, and pick-up your bikes at a later time as well. Please note that our team will not be onsite at Battery Park after 10 am to hand out bikes to reservation holders, and any arrivals past 10AM forfeit their reservation as the city needs the area clear.
