DC Bike Ride is on September 25th. This event is for bicyclists of all ages and abilities. Inspired by New York’s Five Boro Bike Ride, this event started in 2016. Enjoy 20 miles of safe, car-free roads while you enjoy the sights and sounds of DC. The historic monuments and memorials of our nation’s capital are on full display for this ride. This event is for everyone! We want to see professionals and novices enjoy the beauty of Washington DC.
Unlimited Biking is proud to partner with this fun event! We have a convenient pickup and drop off location, so that your day is stress free and you can focus on the fun of DC’s biggest annual event for cyclists and local non-profits. The ride ends at Sibley Memorial Hospital with an exciting Finish Festival open to the public. Vendors, live music, and food will be available for hungry riders after this exciting trek.
When you buy your ticket from the DC Bike Ride website, the registration includes a rental of Unlimited Biking’s standard, hybrid bikes. These bikes are a hybrid of road and mountain bikes. They come with flat bars and are great for the casual rider. If you would prefer a specialty bike, we offer those rentals here. We have tandem bikes for two riders, children’s bikes (12 and under), electric bikes, road bikes, and attachments for children. Our electric bikes are pedal assist, so you will still be biking with a little more speed for your effort. Our road bikes come in aluminum and carbon models. They come with drop bars and are perfect for more experienced riders. Our children’s attachments include trailers for smaller children and tag-alongs, which function like tandem bicycles. Your bike and helmet will be available for pickup at the start of the race between 5:30 and 7:45 am, at 3rd St Sw, between Madison Dr and Pennsylvania Ave NW. The bike drop-off location is at the Finish Festival at Sibley Memorial Hospital.
Unlimited Biking is located at 998 Maine Avenue. Have questions? Give us a call at 202-842-2453 or email us at [email protected]. We are so excited to be partnered with DC Bike Ride and hope to see you there!
